These events led to a mystery forming in the novel and I like mysteries. But as time went on I started thinking why would they reveal the thief so early in the novel? The theme of this novel is mystery and action. I at first agreed with most of the characters about the thief being Hades.

Percy Jackson son of the sea god Poseidon and his friends are trying to find out who stole Zeus’ lightning bolt. It's a great pick for fans of fantasy, adventure, and Greek mythology. Sometimes when reading I wished that it would slow down to elaborate more on what's happing since so much is being thrown at you in this however, if you like that sort of thing this is the perfect book for you. Overall, highly recommend this novel because it´s an action-packed book that's almost impossible to put down but, for some people, it might be a little too fast so if you like an action-packed book that moves fast. At every turn of a page, it seems Percy was going to fail, but with new surprises, he seems to get out of every scenario unharmed. The characters are built up well and relatable, specifically Percy, who is fun to follow as he navigates his new life as a demigod. The concept of demigods living among us and attending a secret camp is both exciting and imaginative. One of the things I enjoyed most about this book was how it brought Greek mythology into the modern world. The theme of identity is with Percy Jackson finding out who he really is. The plot is fast and action-packed, with many twists and turns that keeps the reader on their toes. The book follows the point of view of Percy Jackson, a demigod who discovers his true identity and takes on a quest to retrieve Zeus' stolen lightning bolt. I found the book to be an exciting and engaging read. This book is the most action-packed book I have ever read.
